Not taking control of your business plays a huge role in leading you towards disaster. For example, I gave the acting CEO access to sensitive financial information within my company, which was a deadly mistake. Another facet that will lead to disaster is ending a toxic relationship too late, usually with a manipulative client or employee. It can be hard to fire someone or put an end to a business relationship, especially if rapport has been built, but it vital to have that confrontation for the sake of your company. Lastly, not addressing issues right away will lead to destruction. Whether with employees, suppliers, or clients, unaddressed issues will ultimately drag the company down and taint relationships.
